"A tight ass band with a great sound these kids can fuckin Rock!"
Rock & load Magazine
One of the most interesting bookings for the new crop joining Bloodstock 2019, Xero don’t sound anything like your average Bloodstock band. Self-described as alt metal, there is an air of prog and post-metal to this band that pushes them into strange territories that sit somewhere between Dillinger Escape Plan’s most angular material and the soaring melodies of a band like Black Peaks. A curiosity with some real oomph to their sound. FFO: Tesseract, Azusa, Black Peaks"
"'Garden', which I can only describe as addictive, liquid gold... Phenomenal performance from this up and coming band; each member filled to the brim with talent and an infatuation for music. This band is one to see live as they entrance you into their music."

XERO are an Alternative Metal/Progressive Rock band formed in Newcastle and currently based in Guildford; a powerhouse quartet consisting of Steff, Jamie, Jordan & Alex. Their music is fuelled by a mutual love for groove-based Alternative Metal, a disdain for posing over playing and the intent to combine their myriad of influences to create a gap that hasn't yet been filled.
2017 saw XERO release their first EP, ‘Sequence’ -produced by Neil Kennedy (Press To Meco, Milk Teeth) -followed by two UK tours and multiple gigs in notable venues across the UK, supporting bands such as SÜMER. Their first single, Podha, gained them support from Nick Roberts at BBC Introducing.
XERO started 2018 recording their follow-up EP, ‘Dimensions’ at Metropolis Studios with Liam Nolan (Florence & The Machine, Mark Ronson), and their next two singles, Birthright and Garden, gained them respect from further various local and national radio stations, as well as online blogs such as Distorted Sound Magazine and Metal Temple.
2019 has already proven to be a pivotal year for XERO; from playing at this year's Bloodstock Festival, following a successful run in London's 'Metal2TheMasses' competition, to their latest single "Saints" getting regular airplay on Planet Rock's New Rock Show.
Sick of the constant homogenisation of modern music, XERO have stitched a sound, woven from the fabric of their influences, that can't be found elsewhere.
